PETITION: Catholics call on the Vatican to affirm all salvation comes through Jesus

"Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me." - John 14:6

While we cannot know all of their intentions, objective evidence shows that the perennial teaching of the Church, which affirms the unique quality of the Divinity of Jesus, was seriously diminished by the Vatican in 2019.

Not that any action by the Vatican makes the truth of Christ's Divinity any less true. But, by appearing to degrade Christ's Divinity, the Vatican can certainly affect the faith of believers and, ultimately, the salvation of souls.

Therefore, this petition calls on the Vatican to clearly and explicitly profess the Divinity of Jesus Christ, and that all salvation comes through Him.

In case there are any doubts, the Catechism of the Catholic Church states (No. 464 in Part I, Section II, Chapter II, Article III, Paragraph I): "The unique and altogether singular event of the Incarnation of the Son of God does not mean that Jesus Christ is part God and part man, nor does it imply that he is the result of a confused mixture of the divine and the human. He became truly man while remaining truly God. Jesus Christ is true God and true man."

Perhaps, more importantly, on the issue of the possibility of salvation outside the Church, the Catechism states the following, (Nos. 846-848, Part I, Section II, Chapter III, Article IX, Paragraph III):

"Outside the Church there is no salvation"

No. 846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body:

Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church.

He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it.

So, why, if this doctrine is spelled-out in the catechism, should it be necessary for the Vatican to re-affirm and acknowledge settled doctrine?

Because, in 2019, the Vatican has been party to the following events and agreements, which have had the practical effect of downplaying the Divinity of Christ, so much so as to make one question the reality of the same.

1) The "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" (aka the Abu Dhabi Declaration). In February, 2019, Pope Francis incited controversy by signing a joint statement with a Grand Imam, saying that a “pluralism and diversity” of religions is “willed by God.”

And, even though this declaration has been widely criticized by senior Catholic clergy, including Bishops, who have, rather, asserted that God merely permits Islam and other religions, the document remains unchanged.

A Swiss bishop, Marian Eleganti, criticized the declaration for making impossible statements about God:

“Since God is not a Being that is contradictory in Himself,” Eleganti stated, “He cannot want a heterogeneity of ideas about Him and thus the plurality of religions which contradict each other.” Islam is “an explicitly anti-Christian religion that denies exactly what constitutes the essence of Christianity: the divine Sonship of Jesus Christ and the Trinity of God associated with it,” he explained.

2) A multi-faith “higher committee” was announced in August, 2019, to implement the “Human Fraternity” document (aka the Abu Dhabi Declaration).

Prominent members of the committee include Pope Francis’ personal secretary Monsignor Yoannis Lahzi Gaid, Bishop Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, and Judge Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Salam, Advisor to the Grand Imam.

News of the committee’s formation was confirmed by Vatican News, the Holy See’s news website.

Quickly following the establishment of the committee, they announced that a “Abrahamic Family House,” is to be built on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, as a multi-faith complex giving equal space to a synagogue, a church, and a mosque.

Critics say this amounts to putting the Catholic faith and its worship of the God of revelation on a same plane with religions that do not worship the true God and deliberately reject Him.

3) The Amazon Synod and the pachamamas. Variously called by other names, a pagan ceremony and the veneration of idols took place in the Vatican during the October 6-27 Pan-Amazon Synod.

This is in direct contradiction to the First Commandment: “I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt not have any strange gods before Me.”

The fact that the Pope apologized for the idols' removal from a church near-by the Vatican appears to give tacit approval to their placement on church property.

Attempting to combine religions (syncretism) can diminish the "unique" fact that Christ, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, is God alone, and can, therefore, lead Christians to question their faith in the Holy Trinity.

For this reason, Cardinal Raymond Burke backed a call to prayer and reparation for the pachamama idolatry that took place, saying that “diabolical forces” have entered St. Peter’s Basilica that need to be “vanquished.”

4) In the latest sign of the importance Pope Francis attributes to his contentious Abu Dhabi interreligious initiative, he has now united with the Grand Imam of al-Azhar Mosque in Egypt, Ahmed el-Tayeb, in petitioning the United Nations to declare February 4 the annual World Day of Human Fraternity

February 4 is the anniversary of Pope Francis’s controversial joint declaration with the Sunni Grand Imam, seen by its critics as promoting religious indifferentism.

Critics of this statement, such as Bishop Athanasius Schneider, auxiliary of St. Mary in Astana, Kazakstan, have said it is tantamount to “promoting the neglect of the first Commandment” and is a “betrayal of the Gospel.”

“However noble such aims as ‘human fraternity’ and ‘world peace’ may be, they cannot be promoted at the cost of relativizing the truth of the uniqueness of Jesus Christ and of His Church and of undermining the first Commandment of the Decalogue,” he said in an interview with LifeSite following news of the establishment of the multi-faith “Higher Committee.”

5) In a renewed and enthusiastic endorsement of globalism in 2020, Pope Francis is calling for international and religious leaders to sign a “Global Education Pact” in May, 2020 at the Vatican.

"The Pope has said that the pact will create "a new humanism."

Asked in an interview, by The Wanderer, whether the Vatican's "Global Education Pact" is related to one-world government, Cardinal Burke replied: "It is. All of these things are connected. With the spread of Islam, especially in Europe but also in the United States, there is an effort to dull people’s consciousness about the Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ as it is proclaimed in the Gospel. This is an area where the faithful must especially stand up and give witness to the truth."

______                                       _______                                      _______                                      _______

For the reasons stated above, and for the glory of Holy Trinity, as expressed in three Divine Persons of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, faithful Christians and Catholics now call on the Vatican to acknowledge and re-affirm Jesus Christ as the Second Person of the Trinity, Who is true God and true man, and, without Whom, no-one can achieve salvation.**

Thank you for SIGNING and SHARING this urgent petition. Please pray for the Vatican Hierarchy and Pope Francis.

FOR MORE INFORMATION:

**Regarding the possibility of salvation outside the Church for those who do not know Christ or His Church, this what the Catechism teaches:

No. 847 This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church:

Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too can be led to faith and may achieve eternal salvation.

No. 848 "Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men."
