UPDATE: The CO Supreme Court has stayed their own ruling, stating: “If review is sought in the Supreme Court before the stay expires on January 4, 2024, then the stay shall remain in place, and the Secretary will continue to be required to include President Trump’s name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot.”
Trump has already declared that he will appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court regarding this deeply flawed decision, and so his name will end up remaining on the ballot.
The fact that the CO Supreme Court had to pause their ruling shows how absurd it was in the first place.

The Colorado Supreme Court has disqualified Donald Trump from being listed on the state’s Republican primary ballot in an alarming attack on democracy itself.

Citing the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which states that anyone who swore an oath “to support the Constitution of the United States” and later “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” would be ineligible to hold higher office, the Colorado Supreme Court has ludicrously ruled that Donald Trump is therefore ineligible to be re-elected as President due to his supposed involvement in the January 6, 2021 riot in Washington D.C.
The Colorado Secretary of the State will not list him on the state’s Republican primary ballot as a result of Tuesday's ruling.
The case was presented by six Colorado voters represented by the anti-Trump, Washington, D.C.-based group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). CREW has received significant financial backing from George Soros’ Open Society Institute, and has a history of funding anti-Trump efforts and other leftist endeavours.
The CO Supreme Court’s ruling in this case is a clear affront to democracy, as a state court cannot declare a nonresident guilty of a federal crime that he has not been convicted of on the federal level and that occurred states away.
It is yet another example of leftists in power attempting to disrupt the election system and ignore what justice commands.
