PETITION: Tell Cuomo to apologize for lighting WTC in celebration of NY's abortion-till-birth law

  • 139,206

An extreme new bill passed by the New York legislature Tuesday, Jan. 22 allows abortions until BIRTH in many cases, and allows non-doctors to perform abortions.

Outrageously, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) ordered that the One World Trade Center's spire be lit pink to celebrate his signing of this extreme abortion bill.

The One World Trade Center is a symbol of peace, national solidarity and our opposition to violence against the innocent. The decision to use this building, built on the ground where innocents died on 9/11 - including eleven unborn babies! - to celebrate the killing of the innocent unborn amounts to a horrific irony. Yards away from the building, the 9/11 memorial explicitly honors the "unborn child" of each of the eleven pregnant women who died on 9/11.

The new law, the Reproductive Health Act, declares that “Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to ... have an abortion,” erases the state’s recognition of preborn babies older than 24 weeks as potential homicide victims, removes abortion from the penal code entirely, and allows licensed health practitioners other than full doctors to commit abortions.

Please, sign the petition and share it with your friends.
