Social media giant Twitter has informed LifeSiteNews its account has been locked because of a violation of "Twitter rules."
This draconian measure was taken because of a tweet LifeSite posted in relation to an article about a Canadian, male, gender-confused activist, called Jonathan Yaniv, who is "confused" because a gynecologist has refused to treat him as a patient.
The article, "Trans activist Jonathan ‘Jessica’ Yaniv ‘shocked…confused’ gynaecologist won’t see him" simply quotes Yaniv's own tweets from the middle of last week, where he wrote:
"So a gynaecologist office that I got referred to literally told me today that "we don't serve transgender patients."
And me, being me, I'm shocked.. and confused... and hurt.
Are they allowed to do that, legally? Isn't that against the college practices? @cpsbc_ca"
The article also contextualizes Yaniv's latest, obscene request by informing readers about his other run-ins with reality, namely that the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal (BCHRT) threw out his complaints against beauticians for discriminating against him by not waxing his groin, and awarded $6000.00 against him.
After locking LifeSite's account, Twitter told LifeSiteNews that it could either delete the tweet and continue to use the platform, or appeal.
LifeSiteNews has chosen to not delete its fact-based tweet and totally rejects Twitter's censorship of posting facts.
Twitter's intolerance betrays what billionaire Peter Thiel, himself a homosexual, previously called a totalitarian mindset in Silicon Valley.
Twitter is now trying to force news agencies to report only what is acceptable to their personal, biased views and shutting down balanced, factual reporting on the issues of homosexuality and transgenderism.
This situation is dangerous for our democracy. It is scary. A free press is one of the basic and necessary foundations for a genuinely democratic society. It is in everyone’s interest to fight this type of totalitarianism by the handful of tech giants that are now acting as gate-keepers of all information.
