During the Youth Synod in Rome this week, notes taken during one of the Bishops’ discussions on education reveal that there may be doubt over whether parents are qualified to homeschool their children.
According to a summary of the conversation that took place, bishops discussed the following topics:
Home based schools – a model coming from America.
USA has many home schoolers – bishops in USA are not united, as homeschooling can have an ideological basis – kids may have special needs
are parents qualified to homeschool them?
These disturbing notes - posted on the Vatican’s website - should cause all pro-family supporters to be concerned.
