PETITION UPDATE (4/7/2020)

Over the past weekend, President Trump encouraged Americans to pray during the COVID-19 crisis. Specifically, he asked people to pray for the deceased and their families and for first-responders.

He suggested that Christians use the current situation as a time “to turn to reflection and prayer and our own personal relationship with God.”

The President concluded his remarks, convinced that with “the faith of our families and the spirit of our people, and the grace of our God, we will endure, we will overcome, we will prevail. We have learned so much. We will be stronger than ever.”

Please SIGN this petition, asking our politicians to have the wisdom to trust first in God, and to pray for the wisdom to make good and prudent decisions which will protect all Americans as much as humanly possible. Thank you!

PETITION UPDATE (3/10/2020)

Since this petition was first issued, the coronavirus has continued to spread across the world. Here are the latest statistics, as well as the newest restrictions on travel, assembly and worship:

  • 4,000+ deceased and 113,000+ infected.
  • The entire of country of Italy is under quarantine. And, in many parts of Asia and Europe, large assemblies - like concerts, cinema showings, and theater productions have been canceled.
  • Worship in some European countries, including Italy, Slovakia, and Hungary, has been modified or suspended till the beginning of April.
  • In the United States, 10 states have declared a state of emergency, while 36 states and the District of Columbia have reported cases of the virus.
  • Worship in many parts of the country has been modified, curtailed or suspended.
  • Numerous colleges will be conducting classes remotely.
  • Some big businesses, like Amazon and Boeing, have asked employees, in states hard hit by the virus, to work from home.

As the virus continues to spread across the U.S., we will continue to ask people to sign this pledge of prayer, to ask God to direct our public servants, starting with the Senate and House majority leaders, with wisdom so as to protect all Americans.

Thank you for SIGNING and SHARING.

Vice President Pence is right: We need to ask help from God first, and then get to work...instead of political point-scoring over the coronavirus.

This petition, addressed to the Senate and House majority leaders, asks our politicians to unite, to protect Americans as much as humanly possible -- and then, leave the rest to God.

Before starting their meeting on Monday, Mike Pence's Coronavirus Task Force was pictured in prayer at the White House.

As soon as word got out, Democratic politicians, and their sidekicks in the media, started to criticize and mock the Vice President's and the White House's effort to contain the spread of the coronavirus in the United States.

  • Democratic Candidate, Senator Bernie Sanders called it "disgusting."
  • Senators Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren falsely accused the Trump Administration of having no plan, despite the CDC having already issued a risk assessment and planned response.
  • Rep. Nancy Pelosi stated that the President doesn't know what he's talking about, when he is talking about the spread of the virus.

But, this is clearly not the time to politicize a deadly virus.

And, prayer should be the natural starting-point for any major undertaking, especially one involving potentially life-and-death decisions.

Let's show politicians in Washington D.C. that America is united in prayer against the coronavirus and that we expect them to work together to protect American lives.

But, most of all, let's show them that our trust is not in government but in Almighty God, that His will be done.

Please SIGN and SHARE this petition, and pray for wisdom to prevail among our politicians - not trading political barbs - as they work to protect Americans from the coronavirus.

Thank you!
