Pope Francis is calling on bishops and cardinals, from around the world, to meet in Rome between February 21st and February 24th. They are being convoked to discuss the sex-abuse scandals which have been plaguing the Church for more that a decade.
Such major issues call for urgent and sustained prayer!
And so, this petition is, in fact, a PRAYER PLEDGE.
A 30-Day Novena of Prayer!
Starting TOMORROW, JANUARY 25th and ending on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd, the day before the end of the Conference.
When you sign, you will be joining thousand of other faithful Catholics and Christians who are imploring God to shine light on the darkness in the Church.
As the foster-father of Our Lord, head of the Holy Family, and especially as holder of the title ‘Patron and Protector of the Universal Church’, we will invoke St. Joseph’s mighty help to intercede for us with God. Please see the novena prayer, below.
In particular, we will, each in his or her own way, pray that God gives His Shepherds the grace to properly identify and address the serious sexual malfeasance which has tormented the Church for many decades.
Former cardinal McCarrick’s public disgrace and the Pennsylvania Grand Jury report were a terrible reminder of how these sexual sins - primarily of a homosexual nature - can cause such suffering to their victims.
To eradicate such darkness from the Church, and, indeed, from one’s own personal life, serious prayer (and probably fasting, too) is necessary.
Let us also pray for the individuals involved in the Conference, especially the pope, the cardinals and the bishops - that they have the courage to face up to the serious problem of eradicating the homosexual networks which have taken root in the Church.
Also, let us remember the courageous Princes of the Church, like Archbishop Viganò, but, for whose unflinching, whistleblowing testimony, none of this would be happening.
Everyone who loves Christ and His Church knows that She and Her highest servants - the bishops, cardinals and the pope - need prayer right now...prayer which can move mountains!

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires.
Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.
Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart.
