While the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops was shamefully asleep at the wheel (or perhaps, deliberately dozing) during the presidential campaign, the Catholic faithful are now bearing the brunt of the moral and doctrinal destruction which the Biden Administration is zealously delivering to America at breakneck speed.
Quicker than you can say "election irregularities," the Democrats have started to implement their evil agenda, including codifying Roe vs Wade and the murder of the innocents into law and promoting gender disorders in the military and in schools.
But, the bishops can't say they weren't warned.
In fact, Biden and Harris told the whole world exactly where they stood on these issue. And, not a peep from the bishops' conference...until long after polling day.
However, thankfully, a few good bishops (on their own), and one courageous Cardinal, did warn us what we could expect from Biden and co., and they are deserving of our respect and attention.

In his Sunday homily, Cardinal Burke stated the following:
"We live in times when it can seem that the evil one is succeeding in his program of lies and death. In our own nation, the federal government wants to codify as law the totally unjust decision of the Supreme Court which made legal abortion-on-demand, and to impose upon schools the teaching of the iniquitous gender theory."
"At the same time, it threatens to deny the freedom of religion, the freedom of citizens to follow God’s plan for the world and for man, inscribed in nature itself and written upon every human heart."
But, things could be so different right now if only the bishops' conference had as much moral courage to speak about abortion and gender-bending ideology as they have about the environment and immigration.
The sad irony is that the bishops' conference may actually believe they have gained something from their silence and inaction when, in reality, they have lost much, including the respect of the faithful.
But, however the bishops' conference may or may not act, we need to encourage those shepherds who have preached the truth in and out of season.
